Notes: This stunning Martin D-28 150th Anniversary from 1983 features a Spruce Top, Brazilian Rosewood back and sides, Mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard, Martin closeback tuners, original Martin slate blue case with orange interior, warranty registration card from 1984, fishman matrix pick up. The neck is nice and straight, the guitar is setup well and sounds amazing. The guitar does have checking in the top and some hazing on the back and sides. This guitar was reviewed by Travis Wade of Wade Guitars who is a Martin Specialist - his thoughts on the guitar is that it is definitely playable with medium height action with the saddle being sanded down low. The guitar has some binding that is high in areas and apprears to have been repaired at one point and will need some minor repair work, along with some high spots on the center seam back inlay. The guitar also could use a neck reset eventually if you want super low action. The frets have plenty of life left in them and the guitar is better than player grade with usual wear for a well played Martin of this age. These Martins are super hard to come by and is an excellent sounding and playing instrument, ready for many years of playing ahead.
