A striking example of Gretsch’s top-tier craftsmanship, this Gretsch USA Custom Shop G6134CS Penguin Relic—Masterbuilt by Chad Henrichsen—is based on a ’59 Penguin and finished in a dazzling Silver Sparkle drum wrap with a contrasting black back and matching silver sparkle binding throughout. Its chambered mahogany body paired with a laminated maple top delivers a resonant yet controlled voice, while the mahogany neck features a comfortable stock “C” carve (.850"–.950") topped with an ebony fretboard, 12" radius, vintage frets, and classic mother-of-pearl thumbnail inlays. Outfitted with TV Jones Classic pickups, the guitar captures articulate vintage tone, routed through a pre-1958 “tone pot” wiring scheme with master volume, master tone, individual pickup volumes (in parallel), and a 3-way selector, plus a 3-position auxiliary toggle for precise pickup control. Premium appointments include Grover Imperial tuners, a bone nut, Adjust-O-Matic bridge, Gretsch “G” tailpiece, chrome hardware, and distinctive chrome knobs with faux ruby and pearl inlays, all complemented by a silver plexi pickguard adorned with the iconic Penguin motif. With its 24.6" scale length, headstock truss rod adjustment, and Gretsch vertical logo with wings, this single-cutaway masterpiece weighs in at 7 lbs 8 oz and comes housed in a deluxe Gretsch hard case, embodying both vintage elegance and Custom Shop precision.
