The guitar has honest wear for its age and clearly has been well loved and played. The guitar features a maple neck that has worn in nicely from years of play wear measuring in at .77" to .97" from the first to twelth fret, nut width of 1.66" to 2.03" at the twelth fret. The guitar has what appears to be the original frets as well - the guitar is playable but will need a refret soon. Additional the wiring is all original with a 3 way selector that goes from the bridge, neck and neck with the dark circuit engaged. The CTS Pots, body and neck all date to 1958 and the remaining hardware all appear to be original and period correct. The truss rod and pickups are functional and the frets are in good condition with no high spots that we can find. The guitar includes an appraisal from Gruhn Guitars in Nashville, TN, which is one of the most reputable authenticators in Vintage guitars. George Gruhn has appraised the instrument for $37,500.00 and the appraisal will be included with the instrument. The guitar will ship fully insured for the purchase price and if you would like any additional photos or videos please contact us via email or call the shop.
