Notes: The Benson Monarch is an amazing amplifier voiced with both an American and British voicing allowing you to get a wide variety of tones. The American voicing has a more scooped mid range plus a greater bass response where as the British voicing is a flatter response to the EQ with a slightly higher treble response. The amp has very simple controls with a Volume and Tone Control and a 3 way toggle for off - standby - on. With the simplicity of the controls this amp is really hard to mess up tonally. The amp takes pedals well and sounds great both at bedroom volumes and cranked. This amp in particular is an early configuration from Benson and sports a very cool pinstripe tolex finish with no tears but some small orange stains. The amp was recently serviced by an amp tech and given a clean bill of health. It will include an IEC and speaker cable for the 8ohm matching cabinet that is loaded with a Benson/Weber designed ceramic speaker. Theses speakers are voiced specifically for the Benson amplifiers and sound amazing.
