Notes:  Sydow Guitars Ultra-Thin Koa acoustic is a beautifully crafted, exceptionally lightweight instrument that pairs striking figured koa with Sydow’s innovative ultra-thin construction. Carbon-fiber reinforcement and bracing provide stability and resonance, while details including gold frets, brass bridge pins, luminous side markers, and Sperzle tuners give this unique guitar a refined, modern character. This guitar was recently serviced by Sydow Guitars to repair the truss-rod. The work included replacement of the dual stainless-steel truss rod, fret leveling, a complete setup and action adjustment, fresh strings, and replacement of a broken bridge pin. The guitar was thoroughly polished, with dents and gouges in the soundboard and back carefully addressed. A high spot in the lacquer below the bridge was feathered and blended to make it less noticeable; it is cosmetic and not a structural crack. Stable stress cracks following the curly koa grain on the back were also carefully feathered while preserving the appearance of the wood. The neck was refinished with Sydow’s new satin “speed-neck” finish. This guitar was gone through by Sydow Guitars and given a clean bill of health.
